Message
from Scripture: 11/04/2020
Our message from Scripture today is Rom. 4:20-21;
“He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was
strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully
convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.”
Abraham was given an incredible promise
regarding the birth of his son, Isaac, at a time when it seemed such an event
could not take place. Abraham trusted God and His promise, because he knew God
could do what He had promised, and God did keep His word. God keeping His
promises isn’t just a past assurance, but a present reality. Do you believe the
promises of God? Do you really believe
God? Not to believe is to live a life of
fear and insecurity, but believing gives us confidence and hope.
We need to believe in the power of prayer.
Jesus said we should keep on asking, seeking, and knocking. Our Father in
heaven gives good gifts to those who ask (Matt. 7:11).
We need to believe God helps mature us in His
image. “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of
the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just
as from the Lord, the Spirit” (2 Cor. 3:18).
We need to believe God has an eternal reward
waiting for us. Jesus tells us, “In My Father's house
are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to
prepare a place for you” (John 14:2).
If we believe in God’s
promises, let’s pray like never before. Let’s grow like never before. Let’s
live for eternity like never before. This makes our lives full and complete. It
gives us a great life in Christ. God bless.
Robert
