Message from Scripture: 9/1/2020

Our message from Scripture today is Mark 11:22; And Jesus answered saying to them, ‘Have faith in God.’

Christ really is a key figure in our lives. Even though He was the Son of God, you can still definitely say that Jesus lived by faith in the Father, and by faith in obedience to His will. As simple as this seems, we must always seek to live by a real, Biblical faith, to remain dedicated to the Lord, and to keep Satan from deceiving us and weakening our faith.

Yes, we are people of flesh, and many times the flesh would rather walk by sight, instead of faith. Faith, however, is absolutely essential to success in spiritual living. It enables us to know God is with us (Rom. 8:28), that we can please God (Heb. 11:6), and that we have access to the provisions God offers us to grow our faith (1 John 5:4).

What does God offer us to help our faith grow? We have prayer to address our needs and concern to God (Eph. 3:12). We have God’s word from which faith comes (Rom. 10:17), and through which faith grows (John 5:24). God is involved in the process of helping us grow our faith, even in times of trials (Jas. 1:2-4). And the more we use our faith, practicing those spiritual principles we know to be true, faith will grow (1 John 5:4).

Life in Christ begins in faith, is lived in faith, and in the end, faith becomes sight. Let’s join our faith in the Father with all that He, by our faith, offers us to live a great life for Him. God is at work in us so we can “all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ” (Eph. 4:13). Through faith, God can accomplish great things in us, including protecting us “by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time” (1 Pet. 1:5). Let’s exercise our faith, and see what great things God can do in and through us today. God bless.

Robert
